Technical details
Allows forklifts to enter from ground level to height of truck bed.
There are two lengths for the ramp:
- 12 meter ramp: for loading and unloading of trucks with bed heights up to 1.2 meters
- 15 meter ramp: for loading and unloading of trucks with bed heights of up to 1.5 meters
Once the truck is centred against the ramp it is lifted higher than the level of the truck bed. The truck then approaches the ramp and should be blocked by the chain system. The ramp is lowered until it rests on the truck bed. The existing chains at the front part of the ramp can be used to secure it to the truck.
Safety elements
- Ramp to truck fixing chains
- Rupture valves in each hydraulic cylinder
- Emergency stop
- Heavy duty open mesh platform (non slip)
- Hand rail protection on both sides of entire ramp, with externally visible coloured warning labels (yellow and black striped marking)
- Mechanical fixing point for forklift to move the ramp
Operation
The ramp is operated by a hydraulic power pack. There are 3 options:
- Electro-hydraulic (the powerpack is operated by a control panel connected to a 220/380V 3 phase power supply)
- Manual hydraulic via a hydraulic hand pump
- Battery (the powerpack will be operated by an Integral electrical source fed by two 24V batteries which are rechargeable)
The ramp is moved by a forklift. Fixing point for the forklift blade at the rear of the ramp has been provided for.
